Sketching is essential to my creative process. I draw from life or simply doodle within the pages. It is a place to record my thoughts on making art. You will find a collection of natural forms I’ve found in nature, bits of paper, thoughts and ideas, collages, compositions I’m contemplating or artwork I’ve viewed. I depict the world around me ranging from sketching a fine meal with friends, artwork I admire…whatever catches my attention…but always people. I find sketching individuals as well as nature helps me keep a pulse on the emotional climate of my surroundings, which informs my work.
